Ceramics by Hayden Hanson

Artist Statement:

Within the clay medium there’s so many different directions artists can take. Currently I’m working with texture and form to create landscapes and geologic formations. I’m taking a lot of inspiration from Contemporary Japanese Ceramics and working to produce functional work while still capturing the essence I’m after.

Bio:

Hayden Hanson was born in Kenai, Alaska. Even though the size of his town was fairly small, art still has a decent presence in his town and other surrounding towns. He currently attends Alfred University and is in his sophomore year. Hayden plans to sell his work locally in Alaska in small galleries and fairs, and build an online store to display his work as well.
